Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is most commonly provided to autistic children because health insurance coverage for ABA is typically restricted to children diagnosed with autism. However, nearly every child can benefit from ABA-based support and Precision Teaching, especially those with language and developmental delays, ADHD, and significant challenging behaviors.
Individualized ABA Programming
Clarity ABA Precision Teaching support plans are highly individualized and customized to meet the needs of each child and family. Common goal areas include communication and language, safety and self-advocacy skills, successful friendships and play dates, flexibility and cooperation, frustration tolerance and self-regulation, and meaningful engagement in daily routines and activities.
We use a strengths-based approach that welcomes each child’s individuality and autonomy. We do not seek to change who a child is or eliminate their autism. We help children and families build skills, understand their mutual needs, and self-advocate to have the most successful and satisfying lives possible.
Our dedicated team will work one-on-one with your child providing a combination of structured and naturalistic teaching and behavioral supports. We facilitate a balance of child-led and adult-led activities to build mutual trust, engagement, and cooperation.
Our licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) design and supervise our programs, and our highly trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) implement one-to-one support plans. Our teams maintain small caseloads allowing them to provide exceptional services to each child and family.

Around here the science of learning looks and feels like love.
We insist on the highest quality ABA for every child. This means our approach is driven by data and best practices in peer-reviewed research. But, more importantly, the path we take to get there is guided by kindness and full of heart.
Our first step is to build a strong personal connection with each child and family. Our goal is to support each child in learning the skills they need to be safe and successful with an approach that feels warm, friendly, and fun. We will work hard together, but we also want kids to be kids . . . to play and learn and grow, happily and comfortably. Kids who are happy and relaxed are ready to learn.
We bring the science and the love to give each unique child the opportunity to reach their full potential. We can’t wait to meet your child. We’re going to love them!

Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged
“Today’s ABA . . .is one in which the starting point is a happy, relaxed, and engaged autistic person. The themes of I see you, I hear you, I understand you, and I am here for you persist throughout the entire process.”
Dr. Greg Hanley, A Perspective on Today’s ABA, 2020
At Clarity ABA, we practice Today’s ABA. An assent-based ABA practice that empowers every child. Each child’s comfort and happiness come first, and we take special care to avoid aversive experiences. Our programming prioritizes skill building and meaningful behavior change to support each individual’s autonomy, safety, self-advocacy, and personal well-being. We reject approaches that emphasize compliance, convenience, and ableist social expectations.

Getting Started with Clarity ABA Services
1.
Contact us today to schedule a meet and greet. We’ll ask you about your goals and vision for your child and share our service recommendations based on best practices in ABA.
2.
If we decide to work together, we will complete a thorough assessment of your child’s strengths and needs. Next, we will collaborate with you to select goals and develop a service plan that feels just right for your child and family.
3.
When insurance funding or a private payment plan has been confirmed, and we have decided on a service schedule that works for everyone, sessions begin. About Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of the science of learning and behavior to bring about socially significant behavior change. It is a powerful approach that can help any person, but it is most well-known for its use to support individuals with developmental differences, including autistic individuals. ABA is well-established as the most effective and evidence-based approach to helping autistic individuals who need support with communication, flexibility, challenging behaviors and other learning needs.
ABA is a science and a practice. It is only as good as the people who practice it. Like many helping professions, including medicine and education, ABA has a mixed history, especially in terms of the treatment of vulnerable individuals. There have been countless ABA professionals who have dedicated their lives to helping others and who have made outstanding positive impacts in the lives of those they served. There have also been far too many individuals who applied the science in ways that clearly did harm. As a field, we need to address that head on.
Today, we must do our best to use the science responsibly and in service of others with our eyes wide open to our biases and limitations. Clarity ABA is committed to the careful practice of compassionate, assent-based, trauma-informed ABA. We lead with relationship-building and skill building. We prioritize teaching each child the skills they need to self-advocate, communicate, and be heard with respect.
We practice Today’s ABA and have signed the Today’s ABA pledge. We are committed to continuously re-evaluating and confirming that we are helping and uplifting the individuals we serve.
